 When attempting to acquire a free asset with a coupon code, an issue arises where the asset cannot be applied to multiple entity licenses or different organizational accounts within the Asset Store. This typically results in an error message indicating that the coupon has already been used or that the product included in the code does not match the current account context.

Expand Analysis

Redemption of a coupon code for promotional assets is restricted by Unity’s internal licensing logic to a single organization. This restriction prevents the application of a coupon to multiple entity licenses or different organizational accounts once the offer has been claimed by a specific Unity ID.

  1. Sign in to the Asset Store and verify that the correct organization is active in your profile settings.
  2. Add the specific promotional asset to the shopping cart.
  3. Input the coupon code during the checkout process to reduce the balance to zero.
  4. Complete the transaction to bind the asset to your organization’s library permanently.

Additional Tips

  • Verify you are not logged into a guest account or a restricted secondary organization before attempting to use a coupon.
